There is a new Flash demo available, based on the latest Utopia SRM demo suite, that shows how ZCM can help companies planning to migrate desktops to Windows Vista. The editions include a Flash object that can be viewed in your web browser and also self-running executables for Windows, Linux & Mac available for download. After I login, I also get a nice 403 Forbidden in red letters.

Seems like the rights aren't set up properly for general access?

Inconsistent behaviour

Hi all,

I'm sorry some of you seem to be having trouble accessing the demo. I don't know what could be going wrong here because every time I try it, it works just fine.

As an alternative you could try searching for it in the Resource Center:
goto http://www.novell.com/resourcecenter
Do a keyword search on "Vista" (without the quotes) and select Demo as the Item Type.

Let me know if that works for you.

How to access the demo

Hi again,

Another way to access the demo for those who have been having trouble is to visit www.novell.com, and then click through the numbers on the main graphic until you reach the ad for the Vista Migration campaign. Click on that and scroll down to select "View Vista Migration Demo".

Flash Demo / resource centre

I'm guessing that this is protected content (for some reason), and only product managers and approved Novell partners can access the pages.

I say that because I'm asked to log in when going to the Resource Centre.

Maybe the content can be moved or flagged differently to make it available to all.

Doc Repository Issues

I set the content as Public, so everyone should be able to access it. However I believe there may be a problem with the document repository right now which prevents people who are not logged in to innerweb from seeing the content. I hope this will be fixed soon.
