Can't Delete an iDomain?

Problem

Sometimes you may have a need to delete an iDomain from ConsoleOne's GroupWise Internet Addressing dialog. If you have ever tried this and received an error to the effect that some object is referencing that iDomain, short of looking at every object in the GroupWise system, how do you determine which object or objects ConsoleOne is complaining about?

Solution

This is where the GroupWise Diagnostics utility comes in handy.

1. Go to Tools, GroupWise Diagnostics and select the Record Enumerations option. Here you will see a dropdown list of Record Types.

2. Select the "Internet Domains by referencing object" record type. Here you can find which objects are referencing the iDomain in question.

3. Go to each object's Internet Addressing page and select a different iDomain. You will then be able to delete the iDomain.

You may also want to investigate the other record types. You'll find a wealth of information stored in the GroupWise domain database.
