Problem
I had an issue with a user's mailbox, with the GroupWise Connector to Outlook. There was no trash can in Outlook. I did a structural rebuild in ConsoleOne, but still no trash can. Rebuilding the Outlook profile didn't work either.
Solution
The problem was that the user's Trash folder was not at the root level of the email account. Outlook did not know how to deal with that. I found the user's trash folder in GroupWise and moved it to the root level. I opened Outlook and waited 5 min. for Outlook to realize what had happened. Voila! a trash (deleted items) folder with the correct icon appeared.
