Editor's Note: Novell does not support the use of ZDM7 on Vista, so please be aware that you will be unable to obtain assistance with any problems you may encounter by trying it.
To install the ZENworks client on Vista do the following:
- Extract the ZFDagent.msi file. To extract files from a .msi file at the command line, type:
msiexec /a PathToMSIFile /qb TARGETDIR=DirectoryToExtractTo
For example, to extract files from f:\zenworks\zfdagent.msi into c:\zfd701 you would type:
msiexec /a f:\zenworks\zfdagent.msi /qb TARGETDIR=c:\zfd701
The destination directory does not need to exist prior to running this command.
- Go to the directory you created above and run the zfdagent.msi file
I only selected the Application Management and Workstation Manager option because the other options didn't work and I wanted to work with the Application Launcher.
