A. The only way to do this is to add a /flatfwd switch to the GWIA.CFG file. Then unload and reload GWIA so the change is read in. Then in your client you would set up a rule that would forward your mail to your Yahoo account. This will create an inline forward message that will appear to come from the original sender.

Without this switch in the GWIA.CFG file, there is no way to do this automatically as the Forward action in a rule is a Forward as attachment rather than just a Forward.

You could just delegate instead of forward. That shoul do the job without altering GWIA.

Thank you!!!

Delegating worked as a way of forwarding emails without turning them into attachments.

What are the negative ramifications of putting this switch in?

I've seen it thrown around for a fix, but wonder if there are negative reprocussions in doing do. Curious.

Works for internal mail, too?

I read that the flatfwd switch wouldn't work with internal GW email -- just Internet email. Can anyone comment if this is true?
