Q: James H. wrote: I'm having trouble running ZENworks Configuration on a cluster. Any suggestions?

A: Sorry James, but Novell doesn't support ZCM being installed or run on a cluster / node. One reason is that ZCM has built-in fault tolerance through content replication and closest server rules. Also, in many cases multiple IP addresses are bound to the server, so during installation multiple IPs are bound to services and component configurations, which can cause issues.

For more info, see this TID.

I suppose you could run it in a clustered XEN session, but have not tried that.

but you can use Microsoft server cluster!

The referenced tid points out that clustering is supported on a Microsoft server cluster.
Nice of Novell to support Microsoft before themselves!

I'll stick with Zen7 thanks ;-)
