I know a lot of you have indicated, and feel that this agent should have been available a long time ago. I'm not posting to debate that, but I'm here to tell you that the agent is now available as a final release for ZENworks 7 Handheld Management.

You can find all of the details HERE.

If you have any questions, concerns, or wish to post your comments on the agent and how things are working... please feel free to do so here. We are ALWAYS interested in hearing your feedback.

Cheers!!

I wonder why ZHM is not used

I wonder why ZHM is not used more. It has a lot of possibilities. Specially for organizations that have more than 20 devices.

Jared.

I totally hear you!! In fact, what we've noticed is that ZENworks Handheld Management is in fact being more widely deployed today... more than ever before. Why you ask? Because the PDA and Cell Phone have merged and people are leveraging the functionalities. Corporations have traditionally faced a bit of a roadblock in the past when thinking about managing corporate PDA's... why you ask again? Because for some reason when the company handed over the PDA to the employee, the employee felt it was a 'gift' and there was no way the company was going to turn around and demand to manage it. Political issues. This issue does not exist today, because no one seems to be focussing on purchasing PDA's for the employees, they are more focussed on purchasing phones with PDA functionality built in, and employees recognize that this is a corporate asset, and that it needs to be managed.

Wow... it used to take me a lot longer to explain this, but we saw this coming years ago.

Cheers.
Mark
