It's been a while again since I last posted. Probably before Brainshare, so what's new? Well, the GroupWise CPK seemed to go down well at Brainshare - probably the most impressive part of it is the ability to upgrade your domains and post offices from 6.5 to 7.0. What is left is the documentation describing it - and we all know how much we love documentation right? When I get it done I will post it along with all the other CPKs out there.

This week we released the long awaited GroupWise 7 SP2 so enjoy. We are also considering an Exchange Gateway SP2, though nothing official on that as yet.

DST - who remembers that? The GroupWise support team set some dubious records that first week. Longest ever wait time, most calls on hold and most calls in a day. The positive side of things is that we only found one thing that we had missed in GWIA iCAL - which really is a testament to the exceptionally hard work that our testing teams put in in the months prior to the change. The vast majority of the calls were for email timestamp problems or for people who had not read the TID properly, or not read the TID at all. Yes, DST did manage to catch some people by surprise. I was even dragged into the NSC radio booth twice to answer questions for those on hold and to run through what had to be done. If you were one of the ones on hold did that help?

Lastly, I recently changed roles in Novell. I moved from the GroupWise backline team, where I have been for 6 years or more into a PSE role - dedicated to 4 customers. That means that I had to give up my development liaison role too - which I genuinely loved, but it was time for a change. I'll still be blogging though, as I remain close enough to the GW pulse to know what's going on (as long as the dev team doesn't get in a mood and cut me off :)

Will we be able to busy search multi day appointments with Bonsai?

Thats a kind of random

Thats a kind of random comment for this blog topic :) - but I am pretty sure you already can. What is probably catching you out is that all day appts are, by default, booked as 'Free'. If, when you post or accept them, you mark them as busy then they will be blocked out in the busy search
