In our environment the users home drive is replicated to AD so that even if the user logs in to a non novell client worktation or server the home drive is mapped using CIFS.
To do this the edir to IV driver converts the edir home drive to UNC format and passes it to a custom attribute in the IV and sets the home drive letter.
The custom attribute used are UNCHomeDirectory and HomeDriveLetter. The IV to AD driver uses a schema map to map;
UNCHomeDirectory -> homeDirectory
HomeDriveLetter -> homeDrive
This allows any eDir home drive setting to flow through the IV and into AD setting the Home folder and letter on the users "profile" tab.
This could also be used to convert any edir folder path to UNC.
