Come Create Your Own Appliance with SUSE Studio at VMworld!

(View Disclaimer)

SUSE Studio is a new, innovative web-based service to enable ISVs, developers and the community to quickly and easily "mass customize" Linux. SUSE Studio is the first tool to enable users to create fully supported, customized variants of SUSE Linux Enterprise and openSUSE, add additional software, and test the resulting image - all in one simple and easy to use interface.

The best example of this in action today is the creation of a software appliance. Users simply log in to create, configure, customize, test and download their software appliance. Users can format their appliance for the major platforms: bare metal, USB, CD/DVD, Xen, VMware, Hyper-V, OVF and Amazon EC2.

SUSE Studio is in Alpha right now, and we will run the SUSE Studio alpha in fully interactive kiosks at the VMworld Novell booth, #634, all next week.

Stop by, create your own appliance in minutes, and take it home with you!

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
