Introduction
Welcome to the Utopia Demonstration System
Utopia is a system of VMware-based virtual machine images that connect together to provide pre-configured, ready-to-go demos of every Novell product and solution. Using Utopia saves the Pre-Sales Engineer hours of set up time and can help them to deliver better, more consistent Novell demos.
The images are available on DVD and download from Novell, allowing you to install them on your own hardware and show the demos live to your customers. They can also be accessed on the Novell Online Demo System aka NODS. NODS is a farm of servers at Novell that hosts all the Utopia demos, and it allows you to book the demo of your choice for a given period (a bit like borrowing a book from the library) and then using that demo via remote control from any PC on the internet.
We also provide sample demos and tutorials, recorded from these systems and published in Flash. See the individual demo pages for examples.
