Utopia

I get asked how can we use Utopia in our environment as your using a different IP address scheme?

The answers ( there are probably more) is pretty straight forward. I will detail the two most common.

1.Change the VMware Guest NIC to bridge and add a secondary IP address to the VM to meet your requirements. The modify the default route and DNS.

2.Leave the VMware Guest NIC set to NAT and use VMware port forwarding. This way you can hit the VM guest on an IP address the fits your scheme and VMware will forward it to the VM.
