Taken from a statement by Alex Evans, Novell GroupWise Product Manager ...

GroupWise Mobile Server (GMS) has delivered
flexibility and sound performance to GroupWise customers since its release with GroupWise 7.

As you may have heard, Novell will transition to an ActiveSync mobility solution in the 2009 calendar year. This move is primarily in response to changing customer needs; ActiveSync has grown in functionality and popularity over the past several years.

Additionally, Nokia recently announced it will discontinue support for the technology behind GroupWise Mobile Server.

As a result of these decisions, Novell will support GroupWise Mobile Server through
October 31st, 2009
, allowing customers to continue leveraging this solution for GroupWise mobility needs through much of the year.

After October 31st, 2009, Novell will transition
its e-mail and calendaring mobility solution
from GroupWise Mobile Server to ActiveSync
.

This is a great move for Novell customers—one that will
allow us to deliver even more performance, capabilities and device flexibility.

As I understand this, you won't provide support for GMS after 31/10/2009? Is that correct?
