Update: 21 Jan 2008 - Emoticons for GroupWise 2.0 is a significant update. Download the updated installer to get the latest version of Emoticons. For more information, see: http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_sol_emoticons.htm

Update: 30 Jun 2005 - Emoticons are emotional graphics - a visual way to show how you feel when words just aren't enough.

The popular Emoticons for GroupWise, contributed by Formativ customer Ralf Faude from hr-online.de, now has an additional 24 new emoticons (most animated) for your GroupWise messages. See the expanded range in the screen shot below. After installing the solution, compose a HTML message and press the emoticon button on the draft message view toolbar to see a list of the available emoticons. Click an emoticon to insert it at the current insertion point.

Emoticons are GIF files, which can be static or animated. In addition to the 77 sample emoticon images installed with the solution, you can add new emoticons by copying GIF image files to the emoticons folder. You can determine the emoticons folder location by running the solution and clicking the Help icon.

*The installation file contains one or more Formativ Applets, a brief help file and any data required by the solution.

Note: To run the free Applets available on this page, you will need to install one of the Formativ products below:

  • Runtime - For GroupWise users.
Formativ Runtime is a low cost framework for running an unlimited number of Formativ solutions for GroupWise.
  • Creator - For GroupWise power users and developers.
