It appears that there is some traction for OpenXDAS, as mentioned here.

I've just seen that during the installation for IDM 3.6's User Application it asks whether you wish to enable the User Application for Novell Audit or OpenXDAS auditing.

It's encouraging to see some traction, although one must bear in mind that this is traction within the same development group so it shouldn't be surprising.
