If you have installed a ZENworks Server Management plug-in through iManager 2.7.2 or earlier versions and try to uninstall this plug-in through iManager 2.7.3 or later version, the plug-in does not get uninstalled properly.
This Cool Solution describes how to uninstall the ZENworks Server Management plugins manually.
Uninstallation Steps
Uninstallation of ZSM Plug-in Does Not Happen Properly
In this case, you must manually uninstall the plug-in by removing the following directories:
- Stop the tomcat service.
- \<Tomcat>\work\Catalina\localhost\nps\org\apache\jsp\portal\modules\zfs
- \<TOMCAT>\webapps\nps\portal\modules\zfs
- \<TOMCAT>\webapps\nps\WEB-INF\modules\ZENWorks Server Management (The
MANIFEST.MF file is present in this directory and must be deleted) - Remove the following files from location \<TOMCAT>\webapps\nps\WEB-INF\lib\
Admin.jar CPKAgent.jar CPKAgentRes.jar ConsoleOne.jar DesktopAgent.jar DesktopAgentRes.jar FTPAgent.jar FTPAgentRes.jar FileAgent.jar FileAgentRes.jar HTTPAgent.jar HTTPAgentRes.jar MSIAgent.jar MSIAgentRes.jar PolicyAgent.jar POlicyAgentRes.jar RPMAgent.jar RPMAgentRes.jar RWCEMFramePlugins.jar TEDLib.jar TEDLibRes.jar TEDWebSnapins.jar TestAgent.jar Widgets.jar ZCommon.jar ZcommonRes.jar ZENLicensing.jar ZENLicensingRes.jar smanager.jar xmlrpc.jar xmlrpcext.jar zenCommon.jar zenloader.jar
- <TOMCAT>\webapps\nps\packages\ZFS_PolyDistPlug*
- You must also delete the UninstallerData directory for the ZENworks server management plug-in to delete. The UninstallerData directory is present in the following path:
NetWare:
SYS:\tomcat\5.0\webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZENworks Server Management SYS:\tomcat\5.0\webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZFS*
Windows:
C:\Program Files\Novell\Tomcat\webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZENworks Server Management C:\Program Files\Novell\Tomcat\webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZFS*
Linux:
/var/opt/novell/tomcat5/webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZENworks Server Management /var/opt/novell/tomcat5/webapps\nps\UninstallerData\Uninstall_ZFS*
- Restart the Tomcat service
