Welcome to the Data Center Community
I am pleased to announce two major changes to Novell's demo systems. These changes will make the systems easier for Partners to use and improve the performance of remote demos accessed via the Novell Online Demo System (NODS).
I'll bet you can identify with this, you're at the post office or a coffee shop and you can see the intent in someone's eyes, they're going to ask you "that question", ie:
"I need a new computer, what kind should I get?"
I used to have very long conversations with people, spend lots of time discussing the merits and demerits of the various operating system choices, application alternatives and in general giving away a lot of free consulting.
Note: If they preface the question with the statement "Hey, You're a Computer Guy" it's going to be a rough one, guaranteed.
ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced that the ATTO ExpressSAS H30F SAS/SATA II Host Adapter has received the Novell YES CERTIFIED compatibility designation with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.

The great thing about working with small businesses is the lack of formality that is so prevalent with larger enterprises. After all, you're not expected to turn up to the customer site in a three-piece suit, and the last time you had to wear a tie was to your nephew's wedding.
Novell and Avnet announced a joint effort to offer sales support, training and market-leading products to solution providers and VARs, enabling them to deliver a more complete data center solution to their customers. Specifically Avnet will now distribute the Novell Platespin products including PlateSpin Recon, PlateSpin Migrate, PlateSpin Protect and PlateSpin Orchestrate.
In independent tests performed by the Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC), SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time delivered the lowest mean and maximum latencies ever recorded at high rates with the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS), as well as the highest RMDS throughput for a two-socket server.
