The physical layer details the protocols that govern transmission media and signals.In X.25, the physical layer is the layer of the interface that defines the physical interface between data terminal equipment (DTE) and data circuit-terminating equipment (DCE). It specifies the procedures used to establish, maintain, and release the physical connections or data circuits between network end points.
