Document Management Made Easier: Vibe Desktop and Add In

(View Disclaimer)

Two new tools are helping Novell Vibe users jump start their document management. We’re happy to show off these the new Novell Vibe Desktop and the Novell Vibe Add In for Office. Better than tell you what they can do, we thought we would show you in a couple of short videos. If you have additional questions send them our way.

Novell Vibe Desktop Introduction

A short video showing users how to use the Novell Vibe desktop app to save files to their personal machine and have them synced to folders in Vibe. In the same way, documents and files can be edited from Vibe and the synced copies can live on your personal or work computer.

Novell Vibe Add In: Working with Vibe through MS Office

Watch how you can create a document in Office and save it directly into Vibe. The Novell Vibe Add In gives users a new Vibe tab with options allowing them to interact with folders and files in Vibe without ever leaving their word processor.

Novell Vibe Add In: Managing Documents

Learn how you can open and edit Vibe documents without ever opening your browser. This Add In lets you rate, comment, and manager versions of the document.

Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
