Summary List of Assets in Sentinel

(View Disclaimer)

Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"I'm new to Sentinel and have this question: Is there any way in Sentinel 5 Active Views to display a summary list of all assets (already on the system) including its names, IPs, business relevance, and if they're vulnerable?

The idea is to have an on-line general view of the situation of the host's x vulnerabilities."

And here's the response from Jorge Osorio ...

Solution

I think this can be done with SCC but isn't going to be easy. Here are some tips that you can use to do it.

1. Create a report on Crystal that querys all the info you need.

2. Create script that launchs this report from a command-line (.bat or .sh)

3. Put this script in ..\sentinel\bin or ../sentinel/exec on the DAS machine.

4. Create new action (Admin > Menu Configuration > Add).

So when you right-click on any event in ActiveViews, you can launch the report and see what you want.
