Blog Entry
We would really like to know what our ZENworks competitors are saying about us and how they position their products against us.
So here's a really easy way to win an Apple ipod Touch that is current taking up space in my give-away drawer.
Just send in your submission to me on this topic or reply back to this blog.
Best one wins the prize and closing date is end of April 2008

Imaging

I had Altiris come in and they ran all over their product portfolio and the biggest thing that they pointed out was the fact that you had to be a rocket scientist to get to a universal image concept. They make it easy and it reminds me allot of ENGL (which I saw seom demos at BrainShare). Now, I know it is easy to say to just acquire ENGL but their tools are needed in ZCM and under the same costs! Altiris has all that under control. Please make Imaging more user friendly from a universal imaging perspective...buy or license them into ZEN!
Thanks

MS API's
Submitted by jsjansen on 7 April 2008 - 12:21am.
Hello,
we had some guys from RES coming, to show the diverse RES tools, and they told us that there's only one real competitor, that would be ZENworks. Still RES wisdom was using such a simple interface that I was surprised! Not web based, that's true but still. the one thing that I really toughed "that should be in ZCM.." was the use of standard MS API, for e.g. the automatic import of workstations in AD. so that it would not be necessary to use scripts or other 3rd party tools.
Next to this a do agree that Novell should consider talking with the guys of ENGL....
kind regards,
Jeroen
