http://www.wolfgangschreiber.de/ DOWN.EXE will down a file server from the command line if you are supervisor or equivalent. Syntax: 'DOWN <server name>'. Help is available by calling DOWN without parameters. Can be used in batch jobs.
Syntax: DOWN
Usage: DOWN [ servername [/force] ]
You need ...- a connection to the target server
- Administrator/supervisor privileges on the target server
- Use the "/force" flag to down the server even when files are still open
- Without the "/force" flag the request fails when files are still open
Examples:
DOWN MyServer
DOWN MyServer /Force
