WASP version 2 from GWAVA is now available to anyone for beta testing! WASP is GWAVA’s virus filtering software for GroupWise WebAccess.

This latest version of WASP will now run on NetWare / OES and Linux. It also runs on Windows in “remote mode.” To use this feature, GroupWise WebAccess must be running on a separate Windows Server (IIS or Apache).  The GroupWise POA still needs to be running on NetWare or Linux.

WASP2 offers several new key features:

• New management interface
• Multiple anti-virus engine support (same as GWAVA 4)
• Fingerprinting
• Oversize attachment blocking
• Exceptions and filtering
• Support for NetWare/ OES, Linux and Windows (remote mode)
• No additional hardware
• Integration with Redline

If you are interested in trying out this latest version of WASP, go to http://betaforums.gwava.com, sign up and download the code.  Currently, support for the WASP2 is limited and the beta version is only available in English, although other languages will be available soon. If you are a current user of WASP version 1, you must first uninstall your previous version before you can install WASP2.
