Here is an EASY way to connect your Mac users (OSX 10.4 or newer) to your NetWare (or other) servers using free and OSS software...

This should work with any of the newer versions of OS X (10.4 and above)

Your server needs to be running either FTP or SSHFS... (FTP is easy on NetWare; SSHFS is standard on almost any *nix box)

Basically we can mount FTP and SSHFS file stores to a directory on the mac. mount_ftp doesn't work too well on OS X for some reason, and this method makes it easy enough for a user to do...

First, download and install MacFUSE from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse

Next, download and install Macfusion from http://macfusionapp.org

You should probably reboot at this point...

Create a directory that is to be the mount point for the file store.

Launch Macfusion. (you can set it to start whenever you login in the prefs).

Open the configuration

Use the little plus sign to add either an SSHFS or FTP mount. It helps to use as complete paths as you can (on OS X you'll probably need to go /Users/username/Desktop/mountpoint or wherever you put the mount point).

Once you are done click the 'mount' button. you can create multiple mount points to different places.

Make things easy for your users... have Macfusion start on login, and have the menu available in the top toolbar for easy access...
