Freshly Updated: This guide is a supplement to the official ZENworks Linux Management (ZLM) documentation.It is intended to quickly walk through the common setup steps associated with managing a SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) environment mixed with SLES version 9 and SLES version 10. Although there are many features available in version ZLM 7.2 this guide will focus on setting up a lab managed environment for software delivery and patching.

Requested by popularity I have finally gotten around to updating this document here to add steps for the md5sum's of the RPM's and the gpg signing of the YaST repository in Appendix A.

This solution basically describes how to use AutoYast features to install the ZLM (ZENworks Linux Management) Agent along with OS installation. Here the NFS server is used as network installation source but it holds good with other means of network installation.

When you run ZLM based on the default postgresql database here is a tip that helps you to check if your cache settings for the database are okay or need a little bit tuning.
