This scenario will cover installing XenApp as a DSfW Administrator and verifying the Novell Admin is added to the Citrix Administrators node after installation.
FARM CREATION
- On the first server, join Windows workstation to DSFW domain. (NOES\Administrator).
- Login to the workstation with domain administrator.

iPrint with XenApp
iPrint technology allows users to install printer drivers from a web browser and to submit printjobs over the internet or a local network through the standard Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).
This section will cover setup and usage of iPrint component on XenApp.
Configuring client network printer
- On a Windows workstation install the iPrint client
- On a client workstation install the iprint printer from the ipp page agent prior to establishing the ICA session.
- Open up the policies page
- Configure a new policy
- Select “printing” from categories and “Client printer redirection” from settings
- Allowing client printer redirection will enable client side printers to be mapped
- Disabling client printer redirection will allow server side printers to be visible within the ICA session
- Finish and apply the policy.
Novell client Installation (link)
- In XenApp server install Novell client and reboot the workstation.
Follow this link for Novell client installation - Open up Citrix Delivery services console and publish a new application.
- Select server desktop from the type of application
- Select the server where Novell client is installed.
- Select the DSFW domain, authenticate and choose a dsfw user
- Finish publishing the application.
- Establish a ICA session from client workstations.
- After the desktop session opens, Novell client can be logged into as an DSFW/eDir user
Novell client Passthrough authentication and Enabling an eDirectory AutoAdminLogon
FileSystem configuration:
CIFS/FTP/DFS/DST
- Create file access protocol shares on OES server and provide access for eDir users.
Follow the link for file access protocols - In XenApp server publish a new application in content sharing mode, use the ip address/share path for configuration
