Filtering Server Objects with ConsoleOne

(View Disclaimer)

By Bryan Keadle

I've found that an often overlooked feature of ConsoleOne is its filtering ability.

This recently came in handy as I removed a server from my tree. The last step of the process is to remove the leftover object that remains after the server has been successfully removed. If you have a container with many objects, this can often lead to one or more missed objects for deletion, or it can take more time than necessary looking for an object in your large list.

In my case, I removed a server named VOPMASTER. By selecting View > Filter and putting in the wildcard *VOPMASTER*, I get the resulting list, from which I can simply multi-select and delete.

Handy!
