Using iFolder to Backup and Share Tomboy Notes
Problem:
How can I backup and use Tomboy Notes on multiple computers?
Solution:
Using iFolder, I was able to backup my Tomboy notes and make them available on multiple computers.
Example:
- Open up your home folder, Select View > Show Hidden Files.
- Find the .tomboy folder and select/cut and past into a directory backed up by iFolder.
- Now, select the folder, right click and use the "Make Link" option.
- Copy this file back to your home directory and rename to ".tomboy".
Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).
