Duplicate File Detective
Key Metric Software has released version 1.1 of Duplicate File Detective - its network-enabled duplicate file management software. This new product was developed for IT professionals and power users looking to reduce file system clutter, speed up file searches and indexing processes, reduce time and media used to perform backups, and regain space on space-limited resources (like laptop drives, memory devices, etc.).
Duplicate File Detective allows organizations to quickly search and manage duplicate files across multiple local and network file systems in a single pass. It uses file content analysis technology to precisely identify duplicates, even in cases where file names are different. Duplicate File Detective produces interactive duplicate file reports that can be exported in HTML, XML, and CSV formats - and optionally re-imported later for further analysis. Duplicate files that are identified can be safely managed with integrated tools that facilitate moving, archiving, or deleting files that meet specific criteria.
Duplicate File Detective runs on Windows 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, and Windows Server 2003.
