Are there plans

Submitted by warper2 on 28 October 2009 - 5:36pm.

To tie it to other phone systems at some point?

Call Manager Version

Submitted by jarisv on 29 October 2009 - 11:42am.

We have Call Manager vs 6.1, so I'm seeing this will not work based on your comments in the About section? Also, we get this error when trying to use it. AXIS engine could not find a target service to invoke targetService is WebdialeSoapService70.

It was coded for a 70

Submitted by martingz on 29 October 2009 - 11:39am.

It was coded for a 70 system, but I do not believe I have to (or should). It seems my system will allow a default Soap call, so I've recoded and uploaded a new copy that does not invoke a 70 call but just a generic SoapService call. Please download again and let me know if/what error you see this time. Thanks - Martin

New coding worked!

Submitted by jarisv on 29 October 2009 - 2:36pm.

I no longer receive any errors and I am able to make a call though the EZDial. I will continue the testing on our system and keep you posted.

Phone Number not pulling in from Groupwise

Submitted by jarisv on 2 November 2009 - 8:57am.

Only the first number of the phone number is pulling in from Groupwise. I have a 4 digit work phone setup for an employee, but when the contact is selected, only the first number shows up in EZDial. In this case only the 6. I also have a cell number setup for this contact and only the 7 pulls in when I click on Mobile.

Same here. I've played with

Submitted by gurneetech on 3 November 2009 - 8:46am.

Same here. I've played with an address book entry and can't get it to pull the full number.

In other good news, manual number input in allows dialing to a CUCM 6.1 system.

More info needed

Submitted by martingz on 3 November 2009 - 11:05am.

What version of GroupWise?
Is the entry in a personal address book?
Can you please detail the entry?
Do other entries work ? (7 & 10 digit) ?

Pretty much the same as

Submitted by gurneetech on 3 November 2009 - 3:37pm.

Pretty much the same as jarisv. GW8.0.1, CUCM 6.1 and nothing but the first character from the phone field in any of the address books. System, personal or other.

GW8

Submitted by martingz on 4 November 2009 - 5:33am.

Thanks for the additional information. If you click the About button you'll see it does not list GW8 as a client (mostly because I couldn't test with GW8 at the time I wrote this). Seems to me this is the issue and something changed in the Address Book API under GW8. Give me a few days to look into this and I'll post an update if I can verify and resolve.

Makes sense then!

GW8 Issue

Submitted by martingz on 5 November 2009 - 12:00am.

I have validated what you are seeing under GW8. At this point it looks to me like a GW8 issue with the API I'm using. Even using the developer kit test code, I am only getting back the first character of each field. So I'm working this on the developer forums and as soon as I get an answer or fix, I will post an update. Thanks for the feedback, as I had not tested under GW8!

Address Book Entry not Pulling in Phone Number

Submitted by jarisv on 3 November 2009 - 12:19pm.

Groupwise 8, Call Manager 6.1. Nothing is pulling in from any address book, Novell, Personal, Other, except first number of whatever number is in the field.

not working

Submitted by NancyKay98 on 2 November 2009 - 9:23am.

We are using GroupWise 7 and Call Manager 6.1. Thought from this thread that it would work, but we are getting the following error: url:https://10.160.10.10:8443/webdialer/services/webdialerSoapService-SOAPAction:""

any suggestions ? would LOVE to use this app.

Please verify

In the docs there is a troubleshooting section. Can you do both of those tasks ? (I'm wondering if WebDialer is installed in your configuration).

working ... mostly

Submitted by NancyKay98 on 3 November 2009 - 2:02pm.

We did have to tweek the config (for long distance had just 1). Had to install certificates. Did that. Looks like it is working now. At least for those that are using IE6. For some reason IE7 does everything except actually dial. The phone beeps once real quick but doesn't dial. Not sure about IE8 as no one here is suppose to be using it.

Will post again if we figure out the IE7 issue.... unless you have an idea???

IE8

Submitted by martingz on 4 November 2009 - 5:28am.

I'm running IE8 and there seems to be no problem. One thing to be careful of is the Certificates under IE7 & 8 - you want to install it under the Trusted Root Authorities (this does not happen using the default install like it did under IE6). You can batch / command line that as follows:

certmgr.exe -add YourCUCM_Cert.cer -c -s -r localMachine root

(You'll need the certmgr.exe program)
