PKI Server startup in DSTrace + pki
I was working on an issue with a client, and to try and isolate the problem I turned on the PKI option in DSTrace. The output was quite interesting.

Challenge/Response IDM Driver Configuration
The ability to use Challenge/Response information for password reset information is one that Novell has offered for a long time. Setting default Challenge/Response values for a given user is not easily accomplished normally and can result in a new user getting prompted for data before they are familiar with business policies and the purpose of the prompts. Example of Troubleshooting AFP NMAS Issues
Recently at a client, I was helping get AppleShare IP connectivity, for use with the AppleShare File Protocol (AFP) working. This article is meant to be the story of how we did it, so that anyone else seeing any of our three issues can see how we fixed them, but also to show the approach we took. For others who see similar but not identical issues, this article can help show how to approach diagnosing the problem.
