Challenge/Response IDM Driver Configuration
The ability to use Challenge/Response information for password reset information is one that Novell has offered for a long time. Setting default Challenge/Response values for a given user is not easily accomplished normally and can result in a new user getting prompted for data before they are familiar with business policies and the purpose of the prompts. Continue on to see how to set default, customized values for users using Novell Identity Manager (IDM) and some NMAS calls.

Frustrated that Users and Helpdesk are complaining about password sync and login issues? Can't seem to pinpoint whats causing issues? LogiTester has been devised to help with just that problem. It allows you to supply a username and password and simultaneously authenticate to several trees to find out where ldap authentication is breaking down.

Identity Manager Troubleshooting Toolkit
Getting started with Novell Identity Manager, or actually any Identity Management product can be quite a task. Beyond learning the core engine of the system, and how it processes rules, you need to learn a fair bit about each connected system. Every system has its foibles, and alas, you need to learn quite a bit of detail at a level that most administrators do not really care about.
