IDM Designer on your Macintosh
No Designer for Macs?... When I got my new iMac last month, I wasn't satisfied with the performance of my solution ('ssh -X'ing Designer from a lab machine). So I set out to install Designer on my new toy...

User Application Approval Forms with Dynamically Generated MV CheckboxPicklists or Text Picklists
How to create IDM approval forms that contain MV Checkboxes or MV Picklists with non-static options (e.g., options read from a global DAL list or query) and still transport the user choices entered on the request form through the approval process?

Enable Staging Projects in Designer 3.5
Designer provides basic support for moving Identity Manager projects from one stage to another.
An administrator can now store additional objects in the LDIF format, even those that are not modeled in Designer.
These objects can be edited by using a text editor, exported to an LDIF file, and deployed back to the Identity Vault in the subsequent stage.

Structured Global Configuration Values in Designer 3.5 (Demo)
Structured global configuration values allow you to place GCVs into a group. You do this by creating a template containing the GCVs that you want in the group, along with their default values. Then, you can create instances of the template with the click of a button. Designer 3.5 supports adding, editing, and displaying Structured Configuration Values in the Driver and Driver Set GCV Preference pages. The Structured Configuration Values can also be used on the Shim Parameters and the Job Parameters pages. Watch this demo for more information.
