Enabling UID 0 logins via LDAP or other external authentication source
In some cases, system administrators need to enable UID 0 login for LDAP and other authentication sources. However, SUSE Linux by default prohibits that behavior. With a little tweaking of the PAM stack, you can have UID 0 logins without giving away the local root password!

Global Variables for Novell SecureLogin
Richard Craig's team needed to develop a script for an application called BAS. Users have a unique username and password for each department in the BAS application. Each user has an average of 20 different usernames and passwords for the BAS application. Novell SecureLogin was a clear solution and the SetPlat command was used extensively. ZENworks also came into play. Check it out.
