YaST – Manual Migration From OpenLDAP to eDirectory on SLES

This AppNote provides information on how to migrate YaST from OpenLDAP to eDirectory manually on SLES, making sure that LDAP based applications do not break. SLES offers eDirectory to be used as an alternate to OpenLDAP. But applications already using LDAP on SLES would break unless there is a provision to migrate the existing data from OpenLDAP to eDirectory.

Choices, choices, choices

I have used Linux for along time ... this year it's going to be 10 years.
My career has been shaped by it, I started with Linux in my Last year at school, since then, I have tried to change people's view and switch people to Linux, what attracted me was not necessarily the price tag but the Openness.
