GroupWise Migration from NetWare to OES2 SP2 with Transfer ID

This is my migration guide for GroupWise 8.x (will work for GroupWise 7.0.3 as well). It covers migrating from GroupWise on NetWare with NSS volumes to OES2 SP1/SP2 using NSS volumes. In conjunction the migration is suited for a Transfer ID scenario and only covers the Domain/PO migrations. This is just one of many ways to migrate GroupWise from NetWare to OES2.

Using ZENworks for Windows 7 Migration

We know you already love ZENworks, but here's one more reason it can be your best friend this year. It can help ease the pain, tedium, and risks of migrating to Windows 7, and make you a hero for your endusers (who have to live with the fallout if it's not done well). If a Windows 7 migration is on your plate, this one's for you. (And check out the Double Rewards offer for stories about how you used ZENworks to migrate to Windows 7. Details at the end of the article.)

ZEN Application Association Reporting Utility

A php script to report ZENworks v3 to v7 applications associated to users within an organizational unit. It was written to provide an easy way of documenting what is in use in the tree for planning a migration to ZENworks 10, but would be useful for any need to document what applications are in use.

Migrating from ZENworks 7 to ZCM

When the ZENworks migration tools just won’t do.

When we decided to migrate from ZENworks 7 to ZCM we took a look at the ZCM migration tools and while good, wouldn’t work for us. We wanted to do a direct move from (the majority of applications being) distribution script based, and file server holding installation files, to the content repository model available in ZCM. So how did we do it without mass reinstallations of applications?
