We've got some good news for partners: Faronics Deepfreeze has just been added to the Third Party products install in NOWS SBE.

Novell Open Workgroup Suite was first released in 2006 with Open Enterprise Server, GroupWise, ZENworks Suite, SLED and OpenOffice to great success. Novell Open Workgroup Suite (NOWS) is a soft bundle, essentially a package of software licenses. NOWS includes OES, ZENworks, GroupWise, OpenOffice, SLED, and now Teaming.

I thought that for the first post from the NOWS SBE product management team I would address what we built for the partner community. When the NOWS SBE product was developed we started by first asking what did the reseller and the end user communities need.

By default, and per the support documentation, NOWS SBE 2 will not install as a para-virtual DomU under Xen. In some cases, such as a test or development environment where fancy hardware that supports full virtualization is not available, running as a para-virtual DomU can bring new life to old servers. This guide walks you through the process.
