Bio: Like many people I know, I was once appalled by Linux, thinking it's not as user-friendly and efficient in producing work as Microsoft. All of that, however, changed when our IT manager, for some unexplained reason, decided to shift to Linux. You can just imagine the anger and frustration that ensued. Apocalypse almost broke out in our office on that fateful day when everyone's computer wall paper suddenly changed and copy-pasting documents became more difficult than writing the actual document. Thankfully, however, tension gradually dissipated when people started to get the hang of it. As it turns out, Linux, just like a mother-in-law, needs time to be fully understood. I, for one, find Linux at par with Microsoft in various applications, from writing a term paper to editing photos.
