Though very much in touch with the tech community, I work in the financial world, not the same one that has brought the economy to its knees, I have always worked at the lower end of the market, helping people who do not fit the bank’s ideal customer; those with no credit history, those struggling with debt and those trying to figure a way to make their money go further.
What I do is sit down with them work out what their trying to achieve, can be to be debt free or to get better credit so loans and credit card interest rates aren’t too costly, others are trying to decide whether it’s a good idea to consolidate their debts.
Increasingly though, and maybe because of the economy, many people cannot get loans from banks, that is why myself and a group of friends started breadmarket to not only advice on improving credit but to also point out places where people with poor credit history could find loans or credit cards.
