Bio

Dean Lythgoe is the Director of Product Management for Novell Collaboration Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for tracking customer and market needs, setting product direction, and evangelizing the product at events all over the world. Recently tapped to lead a global customer re-engagement effort, he collects and assimilates direct customer feedback and uses it to drive priorities in the GroupWise roadmap. He is also a frequent speaker and blogger and a passionate advocate for the GroupWise community.

Dean has been writing enterprise software--and managing enterprise software teams--for 21+ years. Prior to his current role, Dean served as the Director of GroupWise Engineering. In this capacity, he oversaw development of the GroupWise clients, including Windows, Linux and Mac. He has also managed the administration team responsible for producing GroupWise ConsoleOne plug-ins.

Dean has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Business, Computer Science and Information Technology programs at the University of Phoenix. He holds a Master's degree in Business/Technology Management and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
