Sp2? Don't hold your breath. They want you to purchase ZDM 10 not rely on service packs!... Novell needs the cash!... grin.

I haven't received any commitments on an IR, currently the focus of the test-teams is mainly at ZCM so I'm quit sure we won't get anything prior to the ZCM release. Hopefully we'll be able to get an IR after we've shipped ZCM, as soon as I know more I'll put a blog post out.

Currently we have a lot of engineers focused at the new ZCM release, but releasing a new product doesn't mean we'll stop supporting ZENworks 7. Indeed the development of new features will be done within the new version, but we will continue to do maintenance on ZENworks 7 for the next few years (General support until August 2010 and Extended support until August 2012).

Having issues getting the license key for AdminStudio 8 in this release, the link at the end of the install keeps giving me keys for 7.5 that don't work, Macrovision support don't seem have an idea yet. Found an old TID from 2006 about logging into the installsheild website, not certain this is still valid now macrovision have taken over but I'm awaiting feed back from them now. I presume someone has got this working??? :)

Indeed there is an issue with the Adminstudion 8 registration, Macrovision is aware and they are working on it. The registration page has a message now indicating that the registration isn't available at the moment.

I still feel so burned over

Submitted by Matthew Stavert (not verified) on 3 October 2007 - 7:24am.

I still feel so burned over the fact that Novell is NOT going to invest in supporting Vista imaging at the LEAST in Zenworks 7. Our division bought into Zenworks 6.5 and 7 Three years ago, and Now instead of using the Netware OS resources and servers I already have, I'm being forced to add a new server, and upgrade to a while new product...INSANE. COMPLETELY INSANE. Not going to happen. Do I have to virtulize everything now to get what I want...ALSO Insane.
