The GroupWise client spell-checker easily can be changed from, for example, US English to UK English. But when the client is shut down and restarted it reverts back to the default installation language. Sometimes that is exactly what you want to have happen. But if not, here's how you can change it permanently.
- For Windows 2000 you can create a file in Notepad containing the following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
You can fill in any language you want as the default language here; just make sure you use the official Country code and the supporting *.MOR or *.LEX file that exists in the GroupWise directory.
- Save this file as "spell.reg"
- Double-click the file you have just created, and click Yes when asked "Are you sure you want to add ... to the registry?"
This can also be run from a login script or pushed out using ZENworks so that all users get the same settings.
