Dear Colleagues:
Complying fully with U.S. and host country export controls is a Novell Corporate Policy. This message emphasizes the importance and seriousness of Novell's commitment to this policy, and gives you a name where you can go for information about Novell's export control programs.
Exporting is a privilege. Non-compliance or deviation from Novell's export control policy can subject Novell, its subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, and agents to severe criminal and civil penalties, including the complete denial of Novell's export privileges. Every Novell employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining a working knowledge of the export control laws that apply to his or her duties. In furtherance of this policy, every employee is required to participate in periodic export compliance workshops that Novell sponsors through the International Trade Services, Human Resources, or Finance departments.
