Discovery
Each consulting engagement starts by defining the business needs and technical requirements for an effective application virtualization and streaming strategy. This discovery phase includes:
- A business and technical assessment to make sure your infrastructure is capable of supporting the solution
- An assessment document that outlines a complete plan and conceptual architecture for your organization
Inception and Elaboration
Once the initial solution has been defined and approved, a more detailed design and deployment approach is built and tested for your lab environment. The inception and elaboration phase includes:

- A defined deployment approach, including manual configuration and/or streaming implementation
Construction
During the construction phase, the combined solution of manually configured key applications and Novell ZENworks Application Virtualization are deployed into your administration center and one or two field locations. Your pilot implementation results in the:
- Deployment of key virtualized applications with or without streaming capabilities
- Production deployment to a sample population
Transition Phase
Once the pilot implementation is complete and has been evaluated, your consulting team will start the enterprisewide deployment of the Novell ZENworks Application Virtualization solution into your live production environment.
Knowledge Transfer to Your Staff
During the knowledge transfer phase, the consulting team works to transition the operation and support of your solution to your own IT staff.
