If you're going to BrainShare and have finished registering for the breakout sessions, try out this free tool from 'bond' Software Entwicklung GmbH that will import your 2005 BrainShare schedule into GroupWise!

This program reads the iCal files produced by the BrainShare scheduler and imports the sessions into GroupWise.

No Installation is neccessary, copy the .exe file in any location and start it (by double-clicking).

First you have to finish your scheduling at the BrainShare Web site. Then export your schedule as an iCal file. Store the file wherever you want (you save lots of mouse-clicks, when you store it in the same directory as the importer).

Start GroupWise and log into the account you want to import the sessions into.

Start the importer, click on the 'Browse' button at the top and select your schedule. The schedule is displayed on the screen. Now you can click on 'Import Sessions' at the bottom. The sessions will now be imported into GroupWise.

Time Zones:

The session scheduler exports the times for the schedule in MST (GMT-7). If you don't want to change the time zone of your laptop or PDA, you should leave 'Import using Timezones' unchecked. If you check this box, the importer converts the times to the local time zone. This is needed when you change the settings of your system according to the time zones. In this case, you will see the correct times for the appointments only after changing your system to MST. If you are not sure how your configuration of GroupWise, PDA or SmartPhone handles time zone changes, simply give it a try.
