BOF 04 Discussion: ZENworks and the ITIL Framework - What You Can Do Today!
The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a series of documents that are used to aid the implementation of a framework for IT Service Management (ITSM). This framework defines how Service Management is applied within specific organizations. Being a framework, it is completely customizable for applications within any type of business or organization that has a reliance on IT infrastructure. In this discussion, we will discuss how the ZENworks technology set and solution architectures map over to the ITIL Framework and help you to achieve lower administrative costs, and total cost of ownership, while increasing process oriented decision making, control, and manageability.

TUT 116 Using ZENworks For Securing Devices To Meet Regulatory Compliance
With the absence of proper security safeguards and procedures, personal information will almost certainly be exposed to unauthorized persons due to incidental, or unintended disclosure. When the prospect of malicious intent (i.e. hacking) is taken into consideration, the likelihood of an unauthorized disclosure is even greater. Any organization that relies on digital data to drive their business, must take into consideration preventative security measures to protect digital assets from both outside and inside the organization. Then when you add on the legislative controls to enforce the protection of private\public health and financial data, the responsibility is being shifted more into the hands of the IT department to ensure that digital assets are secured. The focus of the this session will be to address user device security solutions with ZENworks and partner software, to provide immediate value to IT organizations and end user customers in order to fulfill regulatory compliance and expedite mitigation for protection of digital data residing on client devices.
