It seems about time to throw some more games out there for everyone to check out. This week, I've chosen Chromium B.S.U. and LBreakout. Both of these games are sure to provide quite a bit of entertainment. They're not boringly easy, but they aren't super difficult, either.

Chromium B.S.U.

This one requires a 3D graphics accelerator card. The visual aspect of this game is quite flashy, and there's a lot of graphical sparks and pops to mesmerize you during play. When you first run it, you see what I mean:

You can use either the mouse or the up/down arrow keys to select options. Use the left/right arrow keys to adjust the options.

The basic idea of this game is to destroy every enemy any way possible. You can run into them or shoot them:

My advice is this:

  1. Do whatever it takes to eliminate the enemy ships. If you do not, you will lose a life for every opposing ship you let past you.
  2. Any time the powerups appear, get them IMMEDIATELY.

Here's a shot of what the boss at the end of level one looks like:

It's a well-done game, sure to have you wasting countless hours. I recommend it as a fun stress-reliever.

LBreakout

Another, even more addicting game is called LBreakout. It is a breakout-style game where you have a paddle at the bottom. You bounce a ball around the screen and try to hit the bricks. When you run it, this is what you'll see:

As you will notice, you have the ability to play against an opponent over a network connection. However, I usually just hit LOCAL GAME. This will take you to another screen where you can set up things like how many people are playing, the level, and difficulty, etc:

If you're playing by yourself, click START GAME. This will take you to your first level, and away you go:

Just keep your eye on the ball, and keep a steady hand. As you break the bricks, powerups will fall from them. Be aware, though, not all of them are good. Some will make your paddle shorter, freeze, or even disappear.

This is a fun game that you can spend a lot of time playing. It's well done, fun, and hooks you right in:

Conclusion

Every once in a while, I come across some fun games. I like to pass those on for everyone's enjoyment. This week, they are Chromium B.S.U. and LBreakout. Two fun games that are guaranteed to give you a good time. Enjoy!
