Novell recently released an updated Identity Manager JDBC driver. This driver provides data integration between Novell® eDirectoryTM and databases that support JDBC. Data changes are made automatically, based on your business rules. For example, changes made in a JDBC database are transparently captured and copied into eDirectory. The driver also ensures that changes made to eDirectory are reflected in the JDBC databases.
Used in conjunction with other Nsure Identity Manager drivers and eDirectory, you can bi-directionally share data between databases and other applications on your network and outside the firewall in business partners' systems.
The following features are new to version 2 of the driver:
- Numerous publication enhancements, such as triggerless publication, daily publication, future-event processing and batch processing
- Expanded database support
- Enhanced support for database time types
- Enhanced ease of use
- Schema filtering
- Extended view support
- Enhanced support for third-party driver encryption mechanisms
- Password modify and check support
- Improved driver configuration/database SQL scripts
