I really like KDE for its many preferences, options, and settings. This allows users to customize their desktop to their exact liking. One thing that is nice for me is quick access to system settings. KDE has made it possible to access the control panel modules in a single click. The basic idea is that you put a PREFERENCES menu button in your kicker panel. Let's take a look at how we can do this quickly and easily.
Right-click on your kicker panel. Then click on ADD TO PANEL, then SPECIAL BUTTON, and finally PREFERENCES:
This will cause a small icon to appear in your kicker panel:
When you click it, you will see that you have access to all of the modules that are in the KDE Control Center:

With this button in place, you are one click away from a very large handful of the preferences you can set for your SUSE Linux system. This is another of the many things that makes KDE a great desktop system.
