While we're waiting, what can we use now?

Open Call for Suggestions
The trend continues: Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Autocad, and Macromedia Dreamweaver continue to dominate the top three most-requested applications. I wanted to take a slightly different approach to the survey this week. Instead of analyzing the results, let's pose this question:
While we're waiting for our applications to be ported, what alternatives exist right now?
The GIMP is the obvious open-source alternative to Photoshop, but let's look beyond the obvious. We want to know any and all products that do what Photoshop does, but do it on Linux today. It doesn't even have to be Open-Source. We're making an open call for Linux applications that can do what Photoshop, Autocad, and Dreamweaver do.
If you would like to make a suggestion, send us an email here.
To keep things hopping, we're giving away an iPod nano to some lucky person who fills out the survey any time in the month of February. We'll conduct a random drawing on 1 March, and let you know by email if you are the winner. Meanwhile, keep spreading the word about the survey, and we'll all be winners. And remember, you are welcome to submit multiple entries if you have multiple must-have products to tell us about.
